Since I was a little kid, I developed a curiosity and connection with cameras, photos, and capturing moments of my family’s life. It all started when I snuck and rummaged through my dad’s electronics. I picked up a film camera in my hands for the first time ever and kept looking around until I found a video camera! That moment felt like I was in Wonderland. I asked my dad for some film so I could start shooting with his camera. I explored the other video camera and started making all these old films of me turning into a frog toy or a little monkey toy or even a stuffed animal. Those were the best moments of my life as a little kid.
I also remember that the first gift I asked my dad to get me was a film camera. He bought one from Belgium when he was on a work trip. Boy, I was looking at those cameras in some catalog for months before my dad surprised me with it. Allow me to take a moment and thank the most important man in my life, the man who always supported me and stood (and still standing) by my side all the time no matter what. Without him, I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere, I wouldn’t have gotten to experience and live any of this, photography and more. Thanks dad! Some debts can never be paid back but I will always give the whole credit to you.
I still have a lot of these developed photos saved in a box. You can barely find any pictures of me since I was behind the camera most of the time. Little by little, I started shooting all of my family events and even my extended family weddings and nothing has ever made me happier than that. Over (or throughout) the years, I experienced different passions and professions, from working for an oil company to working for the United Nations to teaching college kids to being in real estate and more, however photography was the only thing that kept calling me and whispering my name over and over when I take walks, when I ride my bike, when I get ready for bed and even in my dreams.
In general, I’m a people person. I love to socialize and connect, make friends and have a great time, and document those precious moments. Nothing can make me happier than documenting people’s happy moments so that they can always look back at those moments in time. I love when that puts a big smile on their faces, a feeling unique to a lover of photography with an endless passion and love for photography.
I would be honored to be part of your life by documenting any part of it, telling your story, so that you can look back at it for the rest of your life.
I look forward to working with you soon!
